Chocolate Co. Lofts

Once a Chocolate Factory was built in 1912, this authentic hard loft building was converted into a residence in 2004. A 6-storey addition was built onto the original 1912 building, resulting in an interesting mix of hard and soft loft units. There is a noticeable price difference between the hard and soft loft units, with the authentic hard lofts being substantially more expensive and coveted. The incorporation of the soft lofts, however, offers an interesting blend of old and new architecture, while also providing more affordable units in comparison to their hard loft counterparts. The hard lofts feature 12-foot ceilings, whereas the newer units have 10-foot ceilings. Modern kitchens and finishes are met with exposed brick and steel beams. Being direct across the street from Trinity Bellwoods Park is a prime location, offering a good mix of park space while still being in the city’s core.
